1998 ExcavationsIn May 1998 the project returned to 10 rue Delattre. A greatly expanded excavation team included Canadian volunteers from the guide corps at Newfoundland Park. Thanks to Keith Madison, Ian Wedge, Aisling O'Brien, Penny Wilkinson, Kelli Fraser, and Simon (sorry, didn't get your last name!).The trench was excavated further south approximately three meters beyond the southern section, and the brick floor was fully exposed and cleaned throughout all of the excavated area of the trench. This revealed a large sump which was excavated and contained an interesting assemblage of finds. A further section was cut and drawn at the northern end of the trench.
